Wainuiomata Town Centre

JFC was engaged by Hutt City Council to deliver the Wainuiomata Town Centre revitalisation—a key initiative designed to strengthen local connectivity, support a growing population, and celebrate the suburb’s unique cultural and historical identity. The project centred on the transformation of Queen Street and the former Wainuiomata Mall site into a modern, multi-functional Town Square. This new civic space provides improved access to shops and services while fostering a sense of community and place. The result is a more vibrant, accessible, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike.
