Transitional Cycleways

The Wellington Transitional Cycleways Project is a city-wide infrastructure initiative. Spearheaded by Wellington City Council, the project aims to improve road safety, pedestrian access, and transport efficiency through a series of targeted upgrades. The project focuses on creating safer, more accessible urban environments for vulnerable road users, particularly cyclists and pedestrians. Specific work packages include upgrades at prominent locations such as the Onepu/Rongotai/Evans Bay Intersection, Berhampore Town Centre, Aro Valley Cycleway, and Island Bay Town Centre (The Parade). Each location was selected based on safety concerns, traffic patterns, and community needs, making this initiative a comprehensive response to Wellington’s evolving urban environment. Through a combination of technical expertise, meticulous planning, and proactive stakeholder engagement, JFC delivered Wellington Transitional Cycleways projects to high standards of safety, quality, and public satisfaction.
