Orion Point Retirement Village, Auckland

The scope of works consisted of the following:

• Stripping vegetation and demolishing structures

• Removal of 2000t of asbestos contaminated material

• Stripping 14,000m3 topsoil to stockpile, cut 30,000m3 clay to stockpile and 40,000m3 to waste, cut 10,000m3 fill, and lime stabilising soft spots

• Construction of new wastewater pump station, a combination of rising main and gravity main

• Utility network installation, including power, communications, gas, water, storm and waste

• Construction of a shared path and boardwalk along the wetland, plus associated planting

• Construction of public and private carriageways, footpaths and associated amenities including street lighting

• Providing vertical contractors with early occupation, managing interface of site access and staging adjustments to accommodate tie-in works, to ensure best project outcome for the client
