JFC is recognised as an innovative leader in the civil and infrastructure industry in greater Auckland, with heavy involvement in all types of roading, streetscape, earthworks, drainage and landscaping projects.
JFC were responsible for the construction of a skate park, with all the complexities of forming an intricate concrete structure with finely finished tolerances including the all important curved surfaces. We used efficient measures to effectively manage the challenges of the temporary works to support the construction of the high level slabs, shaping the GAP40 base to provide suitable surfaces to support the curved steel reinforcing and placing and finishing the concrete to the curved surfaces. The positive feedback from the end users of the Skatepark is a tribute to the project team, especially to hear that it is regularly enjoyed by both youngsters and teenagers from all over the Auckland region. The scope of works included: Structural reinforced concrete walls Curved concrete surfaces with cast-in nosings Streetscape seats and bins Hard and soft landscaping areas
